Getting Started with Sexual Pursuits
This page is intended to get you started playing and enjoying Sexual Pursuits as quickly as possible. Please
take a few minutes to read through this page before playing your game for the first time. Set the Mood
Introducing an adult bedroom game like Sexual Pursuits into your relationship is something you should both discuss before you begin. Sexual Pursuits makes an ideal valentine’s day, birthday or Christmas gift for your loved one.
If you do give the game as a gift we suggest that you discuss the gameplay and what you expect to happen with your partner before you play for the fist time. An evening with Sexual Pursuits usually begins with some mutually enjoyed
music, a little wine and perhaps even a nice meal as a precursor. You’ll find that adding any of these special touches add an extra zest to your game together. Installing the Software
Sexual Pursuits is installed in the normal manner consistent with most
Windows software programs. If you are not familiar with this or would like a step-by-step guide to installing the software please follow this link. Starting the Game
Sexual Pursuits can be started by double clicking the Sexual Pursuits 12 icon in either the start menu or on the desktop. Adjust the Player Preferences
When the game is started you are asked to set the female player preferences. Like the other set-up screens, this generally only ever needs real attention once. Type the female player’s name and select the clothing she is wearing. If the female player has an interest in any fetishes she may “tick” them now. Note that the male player can look away if the female player does not want him
to view her selections. The more fetishes you tick the more variety you will have in your gameplay. The female player can select an avatar (or picture) to represent herself by clicking on Choose Avatar. An avatar can be any .jpg type picture of about
300 by 175 pixels wide, although the avatar is stretched or squeezed to fit. We have supplied a few avatars for you to use. Note that if you have an avatar you would like to use we will be happy to resize it for you free of charge. Use the support form here to make a request if necessary. Click the Set Up Male Player button to progress to the next screen. The male player preferences are now set in exactly the same way. Once you have completed the player set-up you can click Set Up Game Options to change the game settings. Adjust the Game Options
The Game Options screen is used to change the way that the game is played.
There are some advanced controls, and these are explained in full here. As this section of the help documentation only deals with quickly getting started we will only briefly discuss the Game Settings controls that we think you might want to change for your first game.
Note that the default settings are designed to give a balanced game and we
recommend using these when you play the game for the first time. Game Starts - Game Settings Panel
This controls how hot the game is when it begins. The higher the slider control, the hotter the game is when it starts. Change this control to the explicitness setting you both prefer. Game Speed - Game Settings Panel
This controls how quickly the game changes from one explicitness setting to a higher settng. This allows the game to warm up at your own pace. Drinking Games - Game Settings Panel
This controls how many alcohol related activities will occur during gameplay. If you do not want to involve alcohol in your gameplay you can slide the\is control to Drinking Games: Never. Predicaments - Predicaments Panel
There are many predicament options and these are discussed in full here. However, if either player is not interested in tying up games (games that put them into a predicament) they can choose immunity here. To make a player immune to predicaments, tick the Female Player Immune or Male Player Immune checkbox. Sexy Toys and Accessories - Toys Panel
Its important to let Sexual Pursuits know about any adult toys that you own and want to include in gameplay. The more sexy toys and accessories you tick the more variety you will have in your gameplay. Start Playing the Game
When you have finished making your changes to the Game Settings, click the Play Game Now button to begin playing. The main gameplay screen will be displayed as shown below: The Sexual Pursuits Main Gameplay screen prompts the female player to take
her turn first. Note that her avatar is shown below her name. The screen also shows the current game explicitness setting, the current player’s clothing status (i.e., the clothes they are currently wearing) and some status indicators such as the number of points they have and the number of activities they have performed, etc. Taking the First Turn
The Click Here to Begin button is pressed. An “Accept / Refuse” type activity will be displayed as shown below:
The current player’s name is displayed along with the action she must perform to win or lose the points. In the example above, Delores must massage her partner’s neck to win 10 points. If she does not want to accept this activity she will lose 10 points. Delores clicks the button according to her wishes. The game
then progresses to the next module. A random striptease event occurs. Jerry is asked to remove Delores’ shoes. he removes them from her and Delores clicks the Remove Clothing and Continue button. Delores has now been asked a trivia question. She must answer it correctly to win the amount of points shown. If she answers incorrectly she will lose the same amount. In our example, Delores does not know the answer so guesses that the answer is 5 days
. Its the wrong answer and Delores loses the points: Delores clicks Continue and the game moves on. A random favor occurs and is displayed as shown below: Jerry chooses to opt out of the Favor. He clicks the Chicken Out button and the points are deducted from his total. No more events occur during this round, so the shop screen is displayed as
shown below: The Shop gives the current player an opportunity to spend some of the points he or she has earned. The current player can also save their points if they want to buy something more significant later. Delores decides to do this and click Close to close the Shop. Its Jerry’s turn now and the status indicators show that the 100 points he began the game with are gone (spent to buy the Chicken Out during Delores’ favor).
Jerry clicks the Click Here to Play button and is offered an “Accept / Refuse” type activity as shown below: Jerry does not have enough points to refuse, so he gains 20 by accepting the activity. Another random striptease event occurs. Delores is asked to remove Jerry’s shoes. She removes them from and Jerry clicks the Remove Clothing and Continue button. A trivia question occurs next: Jerry thinks he knows the answer and selects
Charles Bronson. He’s right and wins 44 points. Jerry clicks Continue and the Shop appears: Although he only has 60 points, Jerry cannot resist buying a Favor. He clicks the Buy a Favor from Opponent button and Delores is presented with the favor she must perform for him: Delores doesn’t mind performing this and kisses Jerry slowly and seductively as the favor screen suggests. She clicks Perform the Favor
and the game returns to the Shop. Jerry does not have very many points left to spend, so he clicks the Close button. Continuing the Game
Both players have now played one round each of Sexual Pursuits. The game
continues in this way. There are various other game events and these are described in detail here. Ending the Game
Sexual Pursuits ends when both players mutually agree that they have had enough. There is no defined end, but players can decide beforehand if they want to play for 10 or 20 rounds or more. Its advisable to be flexible where these limits are concerned so that gameplay is always enjoyable and fresh. Keep Exploring and Enjoying
